This painting is about the myth of the bad-ass, hard drinking, cool, punk chick who is just hanging out at the bar and is single and just waiting for me to show up and sweep her off my feet I’ve spent years creating in my head. I always convinced myself she was just waiting there as a great excuse to go out drinking alone.
