Home Movies

Below are a selection of paintings I have made based on images taken from old home movies, but with an
anti-Rockwellian twist added to each. I’m exploring through these images the nature of childhood trauma and how it leads to addiction, fear and self harm as we develop into adults. The difficulty comes from attempting to ride the line between whimsy and punk rock without making them depressing.
